Terms of service

By requesting a commission you understand and agree to the following terms in full:

  • Commissions are meant for personal use only, no commercial use allowed.
  • Visual references must be provided by the client. Written descriptions must be accompanied by visual references.
  • I am not responsible for any missing details due to insufficient references provided by the client.
  • Turnaround time is between 2 weeks to 2 months, depending on the complexity of the piece and my schedule. I am not a full-time artist and work on commissions on my free time.
  • I do not do rush orders; if the commissioned artwork is a gift, you must communicate the deadline upon making your initial request. I will decline the request if I judge that there isn’t enough time for me to complete the artwork before the stated deadline.
  • I am allowed to turn down any commission request at my discretion for any reason without disclosing why.
  • The sketch of the artwork must be approved by the client before I move on to finalising it. One (1) round of revisions is possible at the sketch stage; no revisions are possible after the client has approved the sketch. I work traditionally on paper with physical media and cannot alter the physical piece once it’s done, therefore it is your responsibility to communicate your wishes honestly and clearly upon receiving the sketch.
  • I only accept payment via Paypal invoices. An invoice will be sent after the client has approved the sketch. The commission must be paid in full within seven (7) weekdays after receiving the invoice. I will move on to finalising the artwork after receiving payment.
  • Refunds are not accepted after the sketch has been approved of.
  • If I am suddenly unable to complete the commission for any reason, the client will be refunded in full.
  • You, the client, are allowed to post a low-resolution version of the commissioned artwork on their social medias/personal websites, but not claim it as yours. A credit to me, the artist, must always be included when posting.
  • You may not profit from the artwork. Resizing/cropping the artwork for avatars, wallpapers etc. for personal (non-commercial) is allowed, but you cannot alter the artwork itself by removing the signature or otherwise editing the work.
  • I, the artist, retain all copyright of the commissioned artwork and the right to use the completed artwork in my portfolio, websites, or on my social medias for promotional purposes. If the character(s) belong the client, the client retains the full rights of their characters.
  • The client is not allowed under any circumstances to use commissioned artwork as NFTs, for ML (machine learning) tools, or for training generative AI.
  • The artwork will be drawn on an 18 x 26 centimetre (10 x 7 inches) canvas and scanned in high resolution once completed.
  • The completed artwork will be delivered in a digital format as a 300 DPI .PSD file, unless stated otherwise. You may choose delivery via e-mail or as a download via Google Drive.
  • The original (physical artwork) can be mailed to the client for an extra fee, calculated based on the client’s geographical location and special wishes, such as tracking. These costs are solely dependant on the rates given by national postal service in Finland (Posti Oyj) and cannot be influenced by the artist.
